Athletes Unlimited Softball LeagueAbout the League

The Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) is a professional women’s softball league in the United States featuring many of the sport’s top players.

The AUSL launched in 2025 with four teams playing a traditional team-based season while touring across U.S. markets. In 2026, the league expanded to six teams with permanent home markets: the Carolina Blaze, Chicago Bandits, Oklahoma City Spark, Portland Cascade, Texas Volts and Utah Talons.

The six teams play a 25-game regular season. At the end of the regular season, the second- and third-place teams meet in a single play-in game, with the winner advancing to face the first-place team in the best-of-three AUSL Championship. The league is complemented by the AUSL All-Star Cup, a separate competition that uses Athletes Unlimited’s individual scoring format.
